DescriptionIn the foreground is a photograph of an Apsáalooke man on a white horse appears in front of a blue beaded cuff decorated with a flower and white fringe. He wears a similar cuff, white with a large pink flower on it, with long, white fringe. He also wears a vest and pants with pink and blue flowers and a large, feathered headdress. A bright blue, red and orange blanket lays across the horse’s shoulders. Photograph taken during the Crow Nation’s Annual Crow Fair in Montana. The photograph is layered on top of a watercolor illustration from the Denver Art Museum’s card catalogue of Native objects.
