A similarly decorated blanket with green and blue embroidered bars is draped across the girl’s lap. She wears a black elk-tooth dress and holds a feathered fan. Brightly colored, geometrically patterned blankets hang across the horse’s back and another elk-tooth dress hangs over its rear. A man stands next to the horse, holding its reins.
