DescriptionVertical, rectangular image of three partially constructed figures within the bounds of a domestic interior. The figures are rendered in black and white and disappear, fragmenting and dissolving into the surrounding chair, bookcase and hallway. The room recedes deeply into space through a doorway that leads onto an enfilade, a long, narrow hallway leading to a series of rooms. The white lines intersecting the figures are orthogonals, or perspective lines, that the artist uses to construct the architectural space. Artist has let his underdrawings show through, but also added lines later in to break the illusion that the figures inhabit a logical space. Collections
