DescriptionIn the foreground is a photograph of an Apsáalooke man on a brown horse appears in front of a white beaded object with orange feathers and beaded fringe. The man wears a white vest and pants, blue beaded cuffs and arm band and a small adornment on his head. A blue blanket with a galloping horse design is draped across his lap and a white quiver with bow and arrows hangs from the saddle. Photograph taken during the Crow Nation’s Annual Crow Fair in Montana. The photograph is layered on top of a watercolor illustration from the Denver Art Museum’s card catalogue of Native objects.
