Descriptionverticle, rectangular abstract image; a unique print on rice paper. The delicate paper was laid over an inked glass plate and pressed by hand with variable pressure, resulting in uneven transfer of ink. In some places, such as the green almond or leaf shapes that have been layered on top of each other, the color is dense and evenly printed. However, the brown background engulfing the green reflects the uneven pressure as well as inconsistent application of ink; zig-zagging lines illuminate the way a brayer was used to roll ink onto the surface. Flecks of green ink across the image reflect the experimental process of the artist.Collections
