Descriptionvertical mixed media assemblage; oval-shaped support. Artist uses a variety of symbolic materials. Embellishments such as lace, sequins and fringes that allude to celebration. Soft fabrics and fibers reference flesh and female anatomy. Much of the artist’s work explores the female body through the lens of nature, free of religious taboos and hypersexualization. These ideas manifested as sculptures of anatomical and botanical hybrids, highlighting their functions and intelligence as wondrous, spiritual and magical.Collections
